Production area: Itria Valley.
Soil: Calcareous mixed with red clay.
Altitude: 450mt above the sea level.
GRAPE VARIETY 80% Merlot, 20% Petit Verdot.
Vinification:After a soft maceration and subsequent fermentation in stainless steel for about 25 days, the wine undergoes a long maturation in French oak barriques for 12
months. The process is completed with a 6-month bottle aging
TASTING NOTES
Color: Deep red with violet highlights.
Aroma: Fruity, with notes of red fruits such as cherry, blackberry, and currant. Very elegant hints of cocoa and spices.
Taste: Dry, full-bodied, persistent.
Food pairings: Perfect with roasted meats, grilled meats, and medium to long-aged cheeses. Also excellent with rich first courses such as pappardelle with wild boar ragù, lasagna, or risottos with mushrooms and spices. Ideal as well with mixed platters and autumn dishes.
Best served at: 18-20° C.
Alcohol: 14% vol.
